How FlowSend works

TL;DR
  • FlowSend adds a Send email action to Shopify Flow.
  • The email is built from your Liquid template and sent through your own SMTP server.
  • Every send is logged with its status.
  1. A Flow trigger fires. For example a new order, a paid order, a tag added or an inventory change.
  2. Flow checks your conditions. Order total, customer tags, sales channel, location: anything Flow supports.
  3. Flow runs the FlowSend action. You choose the template and recipients (To, CC, BCC, Reply‑To) in the action.
  4. Liquid fills your template. Order, customer and shop data are inserted into the email.
  5. FlowSend sends it through your SMTP and logs it. The email comes from your domain, and its status appears in your delivery logs.

One action is one email sent by the FlowSend action in a workflow. Your plan’s monthly actions and your 500 free lifetime actions are used for these sends.
