TL;DR
- Trigger a Flow on Order paid and check the customer is a wholesale (B2B) buyer.
- FlowSend emails the buyer from
[email protected]with the invoice attached and CCs accounts. - Pass the invoice file URL from a Flow variable so every email gets the right PDF.
The problem
Wholesale buyers expect an invoice the moment their order is paid. Doing it by hand means downloading a PDF, writing an email and hoping nobody forgets.
The workflow
- Trigger: Order paid.
- Condition: the customer has the
wholesaletag (or the order has a B2B company). - Action: FlowSend → Send email.
- To: the buyer’s email.
- CC:
[email protected]. - Attachment: the invoice file URL from your invoice app.
- Template: your branded invoice email with order number, total and payment terms.
Why send it with FlowSend
- It comes from your domain, so buyers recognise it and it’s less likely to land in spam.
- Every send is in your delivery logs, so you can prove the invoice went out.
Questions
Where does the invoice PDF come from?
Any app or service that gives you a file URL per order, for example an invoice generator app that stores the PDF link in an order metafield. FlowSend attaches the file from that URL.
Can I send to a different billing contact?
Yes. Use a Liquid variable such as a company contact email or a metafield for the To address, and CC your accounts inbox.
